if you leagally obtained the songs then you can sell the mp3 player as is, I dont see why you can't sell it. BUT!!!! MUSIC INDUSTRY & EBAY SEE IT DIFFERENTLY... PLZ READ ON!!
It seems like a good idea. You upgrade your mp3 player and decide to offset some of the investment cost by selling your old player online. Fine if you remove the tunes, but if you leave them on the player you may be asking for trouble of the legal kind.

Technically i think it is, As that person would have got the songs and would not of paid for it. On the other-hand no one checks so you will be fine.

Personally i wouldn't sell the MP3 player with songs on it. Format it (wipe it clean). Even though there maybe nothing bad on the device it still may contain a virus that your unaware of. Plus i think it is manors to wipe a device clean before you sell it. It feels more of a new product to the buyer than someone's cast off

I don't think its illegal. As others pointed out anyone may sell old CDs or tapes in a yard sale or on ebay. It is your property and you have the right to sell it.

As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. A domain name is a name you want to call your website (ex:). To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

To get further information take a look at:

You need a web hosting service which supports online payments like, Master Card, Visa & PayPal. It is very important that your service be uptime. It means that you can access your account whenever you want to update your web pages, and your visitors can view your website whenever they type your website address. If your hosting service is not uptime it is real hell!

If you want to start your website I recommend purchase your domain and hosting together. In this way it is possible to get your domain for free. Some hosting services offer this gift today.

Take a look at:

There you can reach the three reputable companies that are leaders in the E-commerce web hosting industry. They fulfill all your requirements to sell online or do/accept any online payments. By using each of them, everything you need for such a website is provided in one business Hosting Package.

Hope this helps.

You answered your own question, you will get more money for it with the songs. That would make it illegal if you're making money on the songs too.

Are these all songs that you wrote and performed yourself? If not, start by consulting a lawyer who specializes in intellectual property law and copyright law.

Why wouldn't it be? You can sell CDs. Not everyone wants what is in your music collection...but it will obviously hold a little bit more value with the added songs.
